I fixed the handlebar noise on my bike heard when climbing out of the saddle and pulling on the handlebars.

    What specifically did I do?

    1.

Removed the handlebars to check for cracks.
    2.

Cleaned all the bolts and greased the threads and underside of each bolt cap.
    3.

Greased between every headset spacer and the top cap.
    4.

    Adjusted the headset.
    5.

    Greased the seatpost.
    6.

Put a spot of grease at each cable stop.
    7.

Greased the quick release skewers (external cam type).

Note: If I still had issues I would have cleaned and greased the headset bearings.

Always start with the easy stuff and if that doesn't work move on to the harder stuff.
